Mateyo, Cindy and I went to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach over the weekend (LBC!!). He loved the big fishes, like the sea bass. He got a kick out of the sea lions swimming around, and was just plain confused about them jellyfish. We even found Nemo! His favorite though was seeing the little lorikeets eat the barette out of his mom's hair. Tey! Nasaan ang ibon?!?
Hey, don't say we didn't get a heck of a show this season. But my guess is that it ain't quite over yet. 2 in boston. Impossible? Mateyo says "it's just a day in the life of a player...papa." word to that son. word to that.

The look on his face says it all. Championship swagger, mixed with a humble confidence! Lakers and Celtics face off tonight and Mateyo is getting warmed up for a great battle. We ain't hopping on no bandwagon, cuz we been down since my dad was kickin' it with Jack back in '71 and rooting on Jerry West and Wilt to their only championship that decade. I had it good in the '80s coming up and seeing the "showtime" Lakers. Magic. Worthy. Coop. Byron. Cap. It's all coming back, and now Mateyo gets to have his own legacy (at least for this year). All I gotta say is GO LAKERS BWOY!!!
