Taking the Leap...

The 29th. The mythical day of February that disappears now and again. Its astronomical and metaphysical consequences are far reaching and significant...or mainly a western convention to synchronize time. As is widely known, we are in a leap year, and I came upon an interesting statistic today.

According to the LA times:
The Lakers or Phil Jackson have been in the NBA Finals every leap year since 1980.
(1980 Lakers, 1984 Lakers, 1988 Lakers, 1992 Bulls, 1996 Bulls, 2000 Lakers, 2004 Lakers)

Far be it for me to fool with the ways of the cosmos. Mateyo even thinks that is childish. Enjoy the games people, but know the universe conspires to get us the ‘chip.

Lazy on a Sunday afternoon...

Ok. So that was a shameless ‘lighter shade of brown’ reference, but that WAS the jam. Mateyo is reaching out and grabbing everything he can get his hands on these days. Objects get mostly eaten, so we have to be on our guard. No words as of yet, just a lot of very intense spitting and babbling. On another note, the lakers are making most everything in LA much more pleasant, which allows us to take the sleepless nights in stride. Yes, he still wakes us up in the middle of the night...but these days it’s just to get a little milk, change his diaper and back to sleep again. I hope to have videos up on this site shortly, then you can see what we see, which are a lot of smiles and laughter from the little one.

Cindy doesn't get too much pub around here.  Mainly because she avoids my camera like it was Medusa's head.  Occasionally, she'll let down her guard and I get to snap a nice pic like the one here.  Mama may have...but god bless the child.
